Many people can tell you how to live your life and many people will. However, the great quotes of those who lived life to the fullest are the quotes many of us will remember all the days of our lives.

Anne Landers, famous columnist once said, “Nobody gets to live life backward.” Look ahead, that is where your future lies”.

Ralph Waldo Emerson became so famous for his literary works and with quotes like the following; it is obvious why is words of wisdom will never leave us. He said, “It is not length of life but depth of life”.

Josh Billings said, “Life consists of not holding good cards but in playing those you hold well”.

Gandi said, “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever”.

Winston Churchill said this, “We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give”. Churchill’s famous quote is still read in schools across the world today because it is so deserving of recognition and it is worth seeing if anyone will take these words and put them into practice.

Alfred Souza said this about life, “For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin—real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life”.

Souza’s quote can be taken and many can learn from it. Too many times, people are waiting for their life to start, only to realize, it is in motion. Obstacles will always exist and how you live your life in spite of the obstacles will determine the kind of life you have.

Claude Pepper was known for his wit. He said, “Life is like riding a bicycle, you don’t fall off unless you plan to stop peddling”.

Danny Kaye wanted people to know more about living life. He said, “Life is a great big canvass, and you should throw all the paint on it you can.”

As you go through life, learn from the great quotes and those who wanted to speak about life and how to live it. Many times there were trials and tribulations which brought the person to the point where they had an inspirational moment.

This gave them the ability to give a lot of thought to their lives and how they lived it or how they were going to live it. We can all learn from the advice of those who meet at a crossroads before we do. At worst, it can show us a better way to live our lives.
