Here are some Famous Kurt Cobain Quotes:
Kurt Cobain helped change the way music was played in the 90’s. His music was different and out of the ordinary not to mention loved by millions. His emotional and sometimes dark lyrics helped fuel the band, Nirvana, to multi-platinum success which still stands today.

Probably his most famous quote is, “I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not,” which shows his belief system, and the way he saw the world.

He also said, “Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are.” No truer words spoken than these great ones. Why would you want to be someone else, just make the most of the person you are.

Both of these famous Kurt Cobain quotes are used extensively by music lovers and bloggers alike and they depict a real sense of believing in oneself and not what other people think of you.

Because of his parents divorce, being picked on by his school mates, and his hard upbringing, Kurt hated the “jocks” and worried about Nirvana becoming too mainstream, which helped to fuel him into making other famous quotes, such as, “Don’t expect me to cry, for all the reasons you had to die.”

Anyone can pick up a copy of Nirvana’s music, read the lyrics, and come up with lots of very impelling quotable quotes, all of which helped make Nirvana a giant in the music business, even after Kurt’s death in 1994.

In fact, his death helped make Nirvana even more popular than they were already, which might have been how Kurt would have wanted it, considering he once said, “I'm gonna be a superstar musician, kill myself and go out in a flame of glory, just like Jimi Hendrix.”

Well, Kurt, I think you succeeded there.
