Benjamin Franklin was famous for many different things. He was a scientist, philosopher, and politician and remembered for all of his great accomplishments. He is also remembered for his quotes and he had a great many of them worth remembering.

“Most people return small favors, acknowledge medium ones and repay greater ones—with ingratitude.” Ben Franklin must’ve known these words would be words of truth for a great number of years to come.

Ben Franklin was a man of action. He said, “Never confuse motion with action.”

“The use of money is all the advantage there is in having it” is a quote many men with power and money would question.

Ben Franklin was the great philosopher on contentment, happiness and money. He said, “Who is rich? He that is content. Who is that? Nobody”

“Wise men don’t need advice. Fools won’t take it.”

Ben Franklin said, “Admiration is the daughter of ignorance” and he must’ve known what he was talking about because often, admiration is the prelude to jealousy which in turn, is a true daughter of ignorance.

Ben Franklin, a man upheld by his good reputation once said, “A good conscience is a continual Christmas.” Think about that quote for a moment. If you have a good conscience, you have peace of mind. If you have peace of mind, it gives your thoughts a holiday.

“A life of leisure and a life of laziness are two things. There will be sleeping enough in the grave.” If more people felt this way, there would be less welfare in America.

“Observe all men. Thyself most” is a quote to hold in focus. If all of us took an honest look at ourselves more, then there would be no one to criticize another because we would be too busy critiquing our own actions.
